BOOK REVIEW: Good Omens

Good Omens- Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett

“The future came and went in the mildly discouraging way that futures do”

I’ve now read until page 155. At first, the scenarios were strange. The subtext throwing me off of my train of thought as soon as the * appeared to provide me with more information.

But here I am on page 155 and I realize that although I’ve only been reading half-heartedly; the writing style so different from what my eyes usually devour, that it took quite some adjusting. But I continued reading, at an extremely slow pace.

“it was nice to think that mankind made a distinction between blowing their planets to bits by accident and by design”

There were times when I thought that the adjustments just might be worth it but then it ended and I was left unsatisfied. I admire the effort towards displaying the end of the world in a comedic light- but it was extremely confusing; maybe I just have a different sense of humor.

My Personal Rating: 1/5
