Uncovered

This is not

the breaking of a heart

or the feeling

of a love lost.

 

At first, the cracks that formed

resembled in pain

but, as the healing commenced

the results were not the same.

 

The loss of you

is not to blame,

it is everything that I lost-

it is everything that you’ve gained.

is not heartbreak.

This, is simply dismay.
