Oh Summer

I had so many idea of what this summer in Wyoming would be like, so many plans, ideals and goals.

But life being life- the reality most definitely does not add up to the expectations that I had. But then again, when does it ever?

I’m currently in an airport in Texas having attended the most beautiful wedding in Michigan & I can truly say that I’ve made the best of the summer that I have been given.

Upon arrival I had such high expectations and was shattered (for more clarification I have written quite a few poems). I’ve made the mistake before to allow heartbreak to cloud my view of the world and made the conscious decision not to make that mistake twice.

Having made that decision and being surrounded by adventurous people I’ve seen so much more of the beautiful state of Wyoming & I cannot wait to see even more!!

A little list of what I’ve been up to:

• Roadtrip to South Dakota to see Mount Rushmore
• Attended the Jackson Hole PBR
• Visit Devils Tower
• Skydive in Alpine
• Conquered Death Canyon (since I failed to do so last summer)
• Whitewater rafting
• Traveled to Washington to attend a Mumford & Sons concert
• Traveled to Michigan to be the bridesmaid to my absolute favorite couple

For the first time in a very long time I am not blogging as often as I should, not because of work or being tired, but because I am truly living.

There’s always an adventure waiting on the horizon & that’s how I prefer it!
