For as long as I can remember I have been busy writing;
poetry, songs, ridiculous stories.
But as for me, as a whole, there is so much that I still need to do in this world.
My visions for myself are changing constantly,
my aspirations growing more profound and vast as the days go by.
I grew up wanting to be a writer and that will forever be a goal of mine. With that said, in the recent years I have added more to my list of occupations to pursue and as life became a buzz of words and work and traveling the United States I have come to realize that perhaps I wasn’t meant to be writing full time but rather made for a career in the publishing industry.
So here I am, curiosity consuming all other thoughts, what does the publishing world consist of?
I have attempted to research the categories and it seems that this world of words that I have entered has an endless list of occupations.
If you are reading this, and you know of a direction to send me in I would appreciate the input.
Also, as a side note, after all of my years of writing, I sat down today and created my very first outline for the novel that I am currently working on. I remember going to the Writer’s Digest Conference in August of 2016 and listening to all of these amazing authors speak about their writing styles and how they create their masterpieces and every single time it included a detailed outline. I remember thinking about how I found it impossible to write with a set goal in mind, and usually, that is how I go about writing.
Today I accomplished a great goal, three years later- but still.
